The Chronicles of Folklaria is the story of this prophecy. "Folklaria and the Wicked Sorcerer" begins in a small town in Washington State with a twenty-year-old girl named June. She is a charismatic and laid back young woman described by most as confident and self-assured. But in reality, June is insecure, lacks direction, and has no grasp of her spirituality. This is in part due to her somewhat antagonistic relationship with twin sister January. June's problems begin when she awakens to the shrill sound of her hysterical mother and finds her stepfather on the phone with the police reporting that January has been kidnapped. In her excitement, June falls and injures herself, becoming unconscious. The next morning, she comes to in a hospital bed only to find that no one, not even her mother, knows who January is. June thinks that someone is playing a sick joke on her until she arrives home to find that there is not even a tiny shred of evidence that her sister ever existed. In a panic, June runs off into town where she meets a woman named Alexis who claims to know where January is. For some reason, June chooses to believe Alexis, and the two of them venture together into another world, Folklaria, to rescue January. Upon arrival in this enchanted and spiritually-enlightening land, June and Alexis meet several people who join their quest, and together they soon learn that June is something other than what she thinks she is. They quickly realize that the only way to save January is to travel to the Dark Territory to rescue her from a wicked sorcerer, Murdolf. In the end, when all seems restored in June's world, an unexpected and frightening turn of events sends the story to a sequel.
