When you think of fruit, I’m sure you think of oranges, apples, grapes, or bananas, but I’m here to tell you there is another kind of fruit that isn’t edible, but it’s the fruit that you will exhibit when you surrender and follow after Jesus Christ. These fruits are called the “fruits of the Spirit,” and they are found in the Book of Galatians in your Bible. These fruits are love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. In this book, Fruits of the Spirit, you will be introduced to some of my friends: Lydia the Llama, Jeffrey the Jaguar, Phoebe the Peacock, Frankie the Fox, Kenzie the Kangaroo, Georgie the Giraffe, Fifi the Flamingo, Grant the Goose, and Sarah the Sheep, and they will tell you a short story about how they allowed the fruits of the Spirit to guide them through situations they found themselves in and how it awakened them up to do what was right. Listen closely to their stories and allow their situations to show you that you too, can call on God in times of need, or trouble, in your own lives, and receive guidance and wisdom from our Father God to help you work out whatever situation may arise. God is faithful and wants nothing more than to help you out and allow the Holy Spirit to work in and through you during difficult seasons. God will never leave you nor forsake you and that is a promise that God has given us in the book of Joshua. Trust in Jesus with your whole heart, follow him closely, and give Him everything, including your struggles and mess ups. God is a loving and forgiving God and wants you to be His child forever and always.
