First of all, those who had power to take action against others quickly intimidated and threatened them with action unless or otherwise, meaning one had to meet some private conditions or demands to be let free, that meant bribery! Hence it never started for the cause of the Africans.Competition for power introduced corruption in Africa. In the African tradition, customs and culture bribery never existed because people feared God and hence there was no room for the secretive deals. People always believed in and accepted open and straightforward issues with no strings attached. They knew any influenced issues attracted God's wrath and ire that would affect their descendants.
