Quinn Harper Huntington lands at Heathrow Airport in London, England after being left an inheritance by her Uncle Garth, her recently deceased mother's brother. Determined to unearth secrets mentioned in a bundle of letters andphotographs Quinn found hidden, not meant for her to find in her mother's basement, sh begins her search.The local village of Woking, Surrey proves fruitful when she makes a friend with another Texas transplant, Flo, the owner of a popular cafe. And Flo serves coffe, not just tea, which Quinn loathes.Richard offers help with information about a book Quinn's uncle had written that caused a great disturbance with the greater popluation in surrounding village folk. A story about WWII in which Uncle Garth's best friend was killed in a fiery crash near the manor, not on a battlefield. Quinn discovers that pilot was her mother's first husband. The more richard reveals the more Quinn can't quite determine if he is friend or foe?DCI George Rafferty reports to a theft complaint by Quinn at the estate, a theft that wasn't a theft. This sets Quinn off an undesirable direction with the local police, Strange and unusal things begin happening inside Harper House and outside on the grounds and neighborhood. George, Quinn, and Richard soon begin to work together to find the missing book and figure out why odd occurances become common place and thwart their search for truth.Danger increases with each risk and Quinn questions whether she should return to the States or remain the one year stipulation in the will.
