This is the story of my life till January 1987. The History of my natal country, Cuba, shows people with agile mentality, full of the Spanish picaresque and, however, quite naive and ignorant, much given to joking, to the music, to the rum and to the beers. They are slave of the sex, but also apologist of the romantic love, of the tenderness, and of the family dedication. As human collective has feelings and quixotic bravery equivalent to which showed our Spanish ancestors when they are motivated by an eloquent verb that is in favor of patriotism, or even more when his personal vanity is object of the mockery of anyone. As a legitimate son of these people, I inherited their defects and virtues, without rejecting neither brag of it.After an active and somewhat danger insurgent experience, which ended with an astonishing and never expected victory over the dictator Batista, I enjoyed glorious and unforgettable momentums of gratitude from my people, and the happiness of to believe that I was free and independent. When I thought that all the evil was defeated and, as in the fairy tales, I thought that "we would lived happily ever after", began the truly, big, and absorbent war against the most powerful and closer country to our coasts, the United States of America. In 1966 I learned two facts that embittered my forthcoming years: Fidel Castro is a tyrant, an opportunist, a demagogue, and a megalomaniac person; and that the theory of the socialist system is utopian because the Human Condition does not allow its practical application. Two decades after coming to this conviction, when I can united all my direct family abroad, I managed to cross the border with the West and all of us obtained the United Stats citizenship. I changed my Cuban nationality so that my family could have the opportunity to choose their dreams, and I could feel good with me by have been able to provide it to them.I live quietly with my wife Elisa and our daughter Alina, who is a teacher. Glenda, my other daughter, is also a teacher and is married to an American lawyer. My sons have their own families. Amaury and Iván are entrepreneurs. We are happy as much as a human being can be.The experience and knowledge I got are very useful to analyze situations and speculate on the future. As long as exists the enormous economic and social inequality, the poverty of many and the riches of a few, the religious zealotry and political demagogy, and the inescapable Human Condition, the eternal comedy of the life will be repeated cyclically in the theater of destiny as long as the Earth Planet exists.
