It seems very hard to find peace in our country Nigeria especially between Muslims and Christians living in the same environment or community. This peace that is very hard to get existed for some times between the dwellers of Maraban-Kai (Muslims and Christians living together).Mallam Abdul was one of those Muslims living together with Christians in Maraban-kai. Abdul abducted a child because his wife Malama Rukiya was unable to conceive. The child was picked from the bush - with a note written thus: "anybody that will pick this child should baptize him and give him the name John of the Cross." The child was baptized without the knowledge of Rukiya. After some years, Allah-de came into the family of Abdul, Rukiya conceived and gave birth to a son named Ali.According to the author, Irimiya, he said vividly that there was peace in the family of Abdul until Allah-de started going to Church.Malama Rukiya discovered later that Allah-de was baptized as an infant by Abdul. She declared a holy war against him. He did not find it funny and easy coping with the harsh treatment meted on him by his foster mother. He who has not witnessed or seen a war or fatal riots would always wish to see or fight one. Allah-de miraculously survived that fatal riot that erupted between Muslims and Christians in Maraban-Kai. Many people lost their lives and properties. Abdul's house was burnt down because the rioters, his fellow Muslim brothers said that he was harbouring and training a Christian in his house. To cap the sorrows of Abdul, his wife Rukiya left him because she thought that her children were killed during the riot.Irimiya stated what aggravated the problem(s) of Allah-de was his intention of becoming a Catholic Priest. Rukiya loved him when he was a Muslim and going to Mosque but hated him when she discovered that Allah-de started going to Church.Have you seen a Muslim training a Christian in the Seminary School to become a Priest? This question seems to be very strange and rare to get anyway. Abdul, according to the author, trained and cared for Allah-de until he became a Priest. This write-up titled, "IN THE NAME OF ALLAH, HERE IS YOUR PRIEST," is a captivating and inspiring story of what transpired in the destiny of Allah-de when trying to become a Priest. The most interesting aspect of this story as enumerated and narrated by Irimiya, is how Allah-de forgave all those who persecuted and caused pains to him in his life. One cannot open this book without reading it to the last page. I termed it, "START-TO-FINISH STORY." It is a-must-read story. If you are a Muslim, read it to know how and why Abdul trained a Christian (Allah-de) to become a Priest. And also, if you are a Christian, read it to know how to show genuine love to a Moslem and how to overcome or conquer any persecution or crisis that may come your way.
