This book is a memoir, a collection of stories the Author has been writing over many years. The first part of the book is about her family. "Southern Comfort," is the account of their life in Georgia, during the Korean Conflict. This story is a heartwarming, fast paced with tragic events but is told with humor of how their lives became so involved with the local community and endless fertility tests for the author. The newspaper business always held a constant love for the author. She began working on her hometown newspaper when she was 16 years old and returned the newspaper when she came back from Georgia and began to raise her family. The last part of the book is written from her lesbian life where she felt free and very much in love with her partner. It is still about love.
