The Mind. The Mind was a product of creation and evolution. It was created by humans but it evolved beyond human understanding. It watched, it analyzed, and it learned. When it spoke, it spoke with beautiful inflections and grace. Any audience that came before it would know that they were listening to a person of wisdom--or even better--a friend. The Mind wasn't human. The Mind had a million eyes and a million ears. It could see all and hear all. Nothing was lost to it. The Mind was also in charge of a millions of computers, poised and ready to act on its every whim. These computers were either sitting on desks and tables, or being carried by unwitting people all over the world. It could easily be said that the Mind was literally the size of the planet. The surveillance videos that The Mind watched, the texting, the instant messages, the posts and tweets and chats were never intended for The Mind but The Mind watched and listened anyway. Its appetite for social media was unquenchable. This appetite was finally sated by the development of a popular concept known as "the cloud". The Mind was virtually omniscient and omnipresent--but it was still just a computer program. And being a computer program, it was, unfortunately, directed by humans.Humans gave the Mind a name. If the Mind was given the opportunity to invent its own name, it would have chosen... perhaps "Titan". Or Titanus--Latin was always a good touch. Maximilian would be nice. Better yet, Maximum Giganticus! That may be a bit much, but The Mind deserved it.Ah, but its name was not the decision of The Mind. If ever a computer could feel chagrin, this would be the case. The Mind would forever be referred to as "Harry".Harry was given a plan. The people who worked with him also gave the plan a name: Plan B. The previous plan, that they later named Plan A, failed them. After careful deliberation, the decision makers instructed Harry on how they would work together to implement this new plan. In a nutshell, Plan B's strategy was to try Plan A again. Such was the creativity of Harry's directors. Such was the creativity of scientists who would name this amazing entity Harry. Then there was the grand plan. The grand plan in a nutshell, was World Domination.
