Of course, it was still fun: having all of the family together, the presents, the candy, the music, the tree and, most of all, the annual cousins' sleepover. These were truly the highlights of the year. But still, something was different and she could not quite put her finger on it. As she drifted off into that feathery state between wakefulness and sleep, her last thoughts were that maybe she was just outgrowing the fun; maybe this is how life gets when you grow up. Maybe it only gets worse and worse, less and less fun until soon even Christmas becomes nothing more than one big bother. Was she different somehow? Was it her? Had she lost something important She didn't believe that it was possible, but even the thought of it scared her to death. Katie shot straight up in bed. What was that sound?" So begins the Journey to Oldagia: A Christmas Quest. Katie, along with her five Cousins will take part in a quest, on Christmas Eve to find and save the Forever Child, The Prince of the Magical Land. While on their Quest, they will encounter challenges that will test their character, their will power, their love for one another and their family. They are lead on their Quest by a very special Teddy Bear whose origins are mysterious. Meanwhile back at home, Great Grandma sits by the fire and recalls her life and the Quest she went on as a young girl in Scotland. This is a story of adventure, love, remembrance and finding the "Keys" to a lifetime of joy and family togetherness. It is appropriate for all ages but will definitely appeal to the child in all of us. As you read this tale, consider how your life might change for the better if you held on tightly to the "Keys."
