On May 9, 2019, Darryl Robert Schoon sent a letter to Congressman Adam Schiff, Chairman of the House Select Committee on Intelligence, concerning the diversion and skimming of funds at the highest levels of government: the White House, the Central Intelligence Agency, and the National Security Council. Details and supporting documentation were provided by Howard Hughes' former banker, Dr. Norman Bernard Thirion. In 1983, Thirion had been approached by Transglobal Productions Ltd, ostensibly a New York movie production company. The chairman of Transglobal Productions was General Robert E. Cushman, former Deputy Director of the CIA and Commandant (ret.) of the U.S. Marine Corps. On behalf of Transglobal, Thirion successfully solicited hundreds of millions of dollars from the Saudi royal family to assist Afghan freedom fighters in their fight against Soviet oppression. The money never reached them. The money was diverted and skimmed and was later discovered in a secret CIA Swiss bank account co-mingled with illegal profits from Iran-Contra. The bank account was controlled by an Israeli-Swiss banker whose bank, the Bank of New York, was later connected to events surrounding 9/11; the details of which were sent in a subsequent letter to Congressman Schiff on May 22, 2019. On July 11, 2019, the information was also sent to Geoffrey Berman, the then U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of New York.
