He joined the Peace Corps in 1962 and was trained as a well-driller. Before returning to the States, he worked as a life guard on various islands in the Caribbean. Once returned, he completed his education and became a university professor. He has been a lifelong outdoorsman and writer of poetry. Now in his eighties, he has decided to publish this book about savoring life's delights while facing the challenges of aging and the difficult circumstances of the contemporary world.
