James McReynolds and his wife Laurel have been married for 35 years. Four children and six grandchildren are in the family. They now have four great grandchildren. They have conducted Family Life Conferences in churches, and the National Family Life "Weekends to Remember," sponsored by Campus Crusade for Christ. Together they have shared family therapy, coaching, and counseling with families. Dr. McReynolds is an associate member of the American Association of Marriage and Family Therapists. He is a charter member of the American Association of Christian Counselors. He wrote numerous articles for The Christian Single, a magazine published by the Sunday School Board of the Southern Baptist Convention in Nashville. He has used his counseling gifts as a licensed mental health practitioner in Tennessee and Nebraska. He earned the doctor of psychology degree at Oxford University. He has five doctorates and nine degrees. He earned his D.Div. at Vanderbilt University Divinity School, M.R.Ed. from Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Kansas City. Dr. McReynolds earned a B. Jour at the University of Missouri-Columbia. His B.A. was from Carson-Newman University in Tennessee. He served as a graduate assistant in psychology of religion at Baylor University in Texas. Laurel McReynolds earned her B.S. and. R.N. at Nebraska Wesleyan University in Lincoln and Clarkson School of Nursing in Omaha. She did graduate studies in family counseling at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. She finished Rouxbe Online Culinary. She enjoys cooking schools in Savannah, Georgia; Lincoln and Omaha, and a cooking school with Faye Hess at the Chateau des Sablons in France. She has travel throughout Europe enjoying the tours with the Joy of Music organist Diane Bish. She is music director for Saint Paul United Methodist Church, Elmwood and Ebenezer United Methodist Church in Murdock. Laurel has enjoyed playing the piano and organ, the harp, handbells, marimba, and any tool for providing her gift of music. Her choir has held Joy of Music concerts for church choirs in Cass County, Nebraska for many years.
