No Cure-No Treatment is a testament of how my 13-year-old brother braved through what I consider to be the worst illness to strike humanity. At age 11, he was diagnosed with a rare genetic condition called adrenoleukodystrophy. Unfortunately, research shows that there is still no cure for this disease. Despite losing some of the things we often take for granted (vision, speech, mobility, cognitive ability, etc.), he endured this illness with courage, humor, joy, smiles, and above all, his strong faith in God. Many live a lifetime without leaving a positive impact on people's lives; however, in his 13 short years, my brother changed the lives of many through his infectious smile. He left a legacy of valor, joy, inspiration, and above all, his signature smile.
