One of the reasons why I felt this project needed to be done because the generation of nurses that are coming behind us is saying: "I'm not staying in nursing!" They're already feeling overwhelmed, they're feeling bullied, they're feeling stressed out and they feel that they are not being treated fairly. So, I feel like I have a lot to pass on to the next nurse because I've always been an advocate to make sure if I had to precept a new nurse, then I gave that nurse all the knowledge that someone gave to me because I came in right, not knowing anything. Throughout my nursing career, I have faced many challenges, struggles, and unfairness, and sometimes I was just not treated right. But because I was not there for management (which was my issue). I was there for patients. I kept going. I came to work. I never let it stop me because nursing had become my passion. So, I love to pass this torch on to the next generation of nurses go out there be the best nurse that you can be there are people out there that need you, that wants you, and will appreciate you.
