The series was written by, and in consultation with, First Australians. The Upper Primary People Big Book in the Our Land, Our Stories series features the stories of remarkable Indigenous Australians, from before colonisation to today. These stories explore brave warriors who fought in the Frontier Wars, activists who stood up to racism and campaigned for land rights, artists who have created unique and spectaculat works, and amazing athletes who have won medals for Australia. This book shows the great diversity of achievements and talents of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, and the impact they have had on Australia's history and culture.
