"PROETRY, THIS" is the author's first collection of "proems." This combination of poetry and prose styles relates a Baby Boomer's life and travels. The author tells her stories in "truth fiction" from life experiences of a lonely singularity, liberal faith, intellect, and soul to contribute to perspectives of reality which shape our experiences from imagination. About the Author Priscilla Hazelett, born in Logan, West Virginia, has lived in a variety of environments while she traveled and wrote about her interesting life from childhood play days to higher education. After finishing high school in Huntington, West Virginia she attended Marshall University. She graduated from Morris Harvey College in Charlestown, West Virginia, in 1971 with a B.S. in Biological and Natural Sciences. Graduate work was done in biology and psychology. Problems with depression led Hazelett to counseling where she was diagnosed with bi-polar disease. Through years of therapy and medications, she wrote for enjoyment. Hazelett relishes the humanness in each of us. Creative writing helps us explore our lives and how they can change as easily and colorfully as a kaleidoscope. She finds we cannot predict how the chips will fall and prepare us for "new realities," beliefs and understanding towards our fellow human beings.
