I hear people talking about another recession and famine that is to be expected soon. After the real estate market crashed in 2008, many people lost, not only their homes but their entire livelihood. As I read the Bible and study it, I noticed that famine is not a new concept, but has been coming and going for hundreds of generations. As I started paying more attention to the famines that took place in the Bible, I noticed that all of God's children or chosen ones were well taken care of during those times, even thriving. In Psalm 37:19 David writes, "They shall not be ashamed in the evil time, and in the days of famine they shall be satisfied." (NKJV) A little further down in Psalm 37:25-26 he says, "I have been young and now I am old, yet I have not seen the righteous abandoned or his children begging bread. He is always generous, always lending, and his children are a blessing." (HCSB) This brought up the question for me, "Why do I see children of God, in these days we live in, struggling?" This question wasn't just for the people "out there" but it included my own family and myself. If Jesus came that we may have life and have it in abundance, then I wanted to know what that abundance meant and how I could attain it, also. This book shares my journey with you as I sought my heart to seek God and to meditate upon His Word.
