After Adam has the hair analyzed he consults with tribal elders who relate to him the Sasquatch Creation Story. Tribal legends and other stories are related throughout the book to help them in the Quest. Adam learns that Sasquatches are humans that were cursed hundreds of years ago by the Creator for following Snarl and killing other humans. He learns why physical evidence of the Sasquatch like photos, hair, scat, and bones has never been collected and never will be. The Creator also gave them the ability to use magical amulets to Jump instantly and travel to anywhere in the world. The elders introduce Adam to a secret realm protected by the Sasquatches where animals can converse with them.
