She holds B.S. degrees in human nutrition and foods and in clinical dietetics from Howard University and is completing a master's degree in religion and counseling at Liberty Theological Seminary. She is director for youth and children's ministries at Rockville Church of God of Prophecy and is happily married to a wonderful man, Arnold Ramcharan. They reside in Boyds, Maryland.
