One of the great discoveries I made on this life's journey is that there is a lot more to existence than what we are basically taught as we go through life. This revelation is reflected in many of my later poems. If I thought that all there was to existence was that we are born, we live our lives and we pass on into nothingness, this would be very depressing. But as spiritual awareness began to unfold, it became apparent to me that there is so much more to life than most of us could ever imagine.So as I reflect on the saga of my more than five decades of writing poetry, I see a great change in my pre-spiritual-path poetry and the poetry that came to me after my involvement with spirituality. I am eternally thankful to all those who shared my spiritual journey with me and who go on sharing it. While living in South Florida for the past 22 years, I am thankful to the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of Boca Raton for providing a spiritual home where I have met many kindred spirits with whom to share friendship and ideas, and to my Course in Miracles group that meets at the Fellowship once a week that offers many enlightening teachings. I hope this collection of poetry touches those who read it and has something of value to offer them on their own journeys.
