She produced a dozen interesting and well- researched histories.Latimer's most important work was a series of histories of Europe in the 1800s. The first volume, France in the Nineteenth Century, was published in 1892, when Latimer was 70. Mrs. Latimer's history of Turkey and Russia was her second history, first published in 1893.
