From April 2002, health authority responsibility for securing the provision of the health contribution to child protection services is being devolved to primary care trusts (PCTs). This report summarises the findings of the CHI's investigation of how health services in London Borough of Harrow safeguard children. Examples of notable practice include: a health visitor for looked after children, based in social services and working in partnership with all agencies; and a welcome book for refugee families giving information on service availability.
