Genie and her husband, James, live in Evans, Georgia. They enjoy traveling, especially cruising, and spending time with their children and grandchildren. Margaret began her interest in art as a young girl. She is a self-taught artist, dabbling in pastels, charcoal, oil, acrylics, quilting, basketry, pottery and murals. She began the study of watercolors in 2002 and launched her journey of experiments, disasters and successes. Margaret is a freelance artist and enjoys producing watercolors for fun, commission and sale. Santa s 911 Meeting is her first children s book illustration. She received her Bachelor of Arts in English from The University of North Carolina-Charlotte and her Master of Early Childhood Education from Kennesaw State University. The Georgia native and retired teacher lives in Canton, Georgia with her husband and several pets. Margaret enjoys spending time with her two sons, their wives and her three granddaughters.
