Saved to Serve is "Saints & Sinners" meets "Greenleaf" with a twist of organized religion that does not deny church drama but shares a true resolve. All and all, readers will see that there is healing in the sanctuary. Pastor Carlton Greene was appointed to pastor Mt. Zion Church of God in Christ by the bishop of the Jurisdiction the church he had grown up in was a part of. Bishop Harry saw in Pastor Greene the potential to be a good pastor and to fill the shoes of the previous pastor who had passed away. Having been groomed to take on such great responsibility, Pastor Greene was ready to walk in his assignment according to what God and Bishop Harry expected him to do. However, it was much easier said than done, causing Pastor Greene to rethink his assignment completely. His first assignment was his wife, Catrice, who had grown up a PK (preacher's kid) and saw what her mother, who was the first lady of the church where her father pastored, wanted no parts of being a first lady. She had ministry goals of her own that she was sure God was leading her into, and the last thing Catrice ever wanted to do was to deal with a church full of people that would make their personal issues hers through her husband. Not to mention the church drama and the fires of gossip and other things her father was, and still, had to deal with. Drama was not far from Mt. Zion Church of God in Christ, and depending on who brought it, lessons would be learned, opinions will be expressed, and resolve would eventually come in some form or other. The Saved to Serve Series will show readers that not all members of any church body are living yielded lives to God, but there are those that are and will not only cover them all in love, but also in prayer. There is no perfect church; however, a true relationship with God and others can be gained.
