This book is a fun read, as well as being informative. It's my history of 25 years of commercial fishing the pacific coast. During 20 of those years I captained boats for tuna, both dragging jigs, for albacore tuna and bait fishing with live bait and bamboo poles for yellow fin off Mexico. I trolled for salmon off southeast Alaska, Oregon and Washington. I ran double rig shrimpers in the Gulf of Mexico, off Texas for prawns, then off California, Oregon, and Washington for pacific shrimp. I long lined halibut in Alaska and black cod and snapper off Oregon, Washington and California. The ports, the boats, the different fisheries are all there, as well as the crew and adventure, and assorted other things I pulled off the ocean floor.
