Unmistakably, this time it was the music that would finally bring her, the gifted one, to him. He had been furiously searching for her...the Dernier Sorcire...the last witch...for going on 10 years. The only sorcire that remained was Genevieve the daughter of Babbet Corneset the last sorcire killed in southern France. It was said Genevieve's father was the grandson of French royalty that escaped the revolution's guillotines. Story told was that Babbet had fallen madly in love and risked having a daughter. Since all of the Sorcire were being hunted by the Elites Babbet had been foolish to bear a child. But she had. Those who spoke of it said she had done it out of love. The Elites determined she knew her fate and decided to leave offspring. The last witch. La Dernier Sorcire. To her credit, Babbet had managed to hide herself and her daughter Genevieve in a farmhouse in a dense inland area of the Forest of Chaux in southern France. However, the Elite had found Babbet. They had closed in on her on Christmas morning, ironically.Still, by some means, likely her magic, Babbet had anticipated being found and executed a successful escape for the child. The time that it took for the Elite to close in on Babbet, who fought long and hard, presumably to add distance bought by time for the child to disappear, there was narrowly a trail to follow the child, the last Sorcire. They lost her in New York where she landed. With hundreds of others. Her mother had not put her age or her name or country of origin...and neither had many others. America needed workers....a French child could have gone anywhere. Being the last Sorcire, that child, Genevieve Corneset, was the Dernier Sorcire. The last witch. And he was going to destroy her with the sword of Charlemagne, as that was his mission.Repeated relentlessly, starting when he was just a child taken into the care of the Elite Elders, as was his father's wish, Gabriel's mission was to find and destroy the Dernier Sorcire. Her destruction and the continuance of carrying out the Matre Prvoir...the Master Plan were the most important reasons for his existence.Only he could destroy her. His mission was to locate her, pull out her power and kill her. Specifically, he had to pierce her heart through and thoroughly with the Charlemagne sword. It had to be done because she would otherwise destroy the Elites and the Matre Prvoir. The only trouble was, from the moment he set eyes on her, he was spellbound and held captive by her silent, magic music.
