After being kidnapped and dumped on another planet, Javin awakens to discover all memories of his early life have disappeared. The world he finds himself on, Harmony, is nothing like his home planet, Haven, even though they are both in the same solar system. Harmony has no industry, no cities, no metal, only small groups of people living quiet, uncomplicated lives. And yet things are not as simple as they first appear. Everyone except Javin seems to have some mysterious connection with the planet. As if that's not enough, they all seem to have strange gifts, such as being able to heal, to communicate with animals, to see the future. Javin struggles to adapt to his new home at the same time as trying to reclaim his memories. Unsettling dreams lead to his meeting with an independent-minded woman, Meldren. Together they experience visions they cannot explain but which seem to have a purpose, if only they could understand them. In order to survive the effects of these visions, they have to give up everything. Doing so brings them to face a new crisis; one which is much bigger than they could have imagined. The fate of the entire planet, it seems, is in their hands. Will they be able to make the right decision and what will it cost them?
