The day has arrived. Stargazer and his troupe prepare the trap that will with-precision and luck-kill the Scog that is slowly destroying the Tarook forest. Albeit, a dangerous undertaking, Stargazer feels the task is part of his destiny of why he was placed on the planet Arret. Afterwards, he can begin his search for a way off the planet and not be plagued with a guilty conscience. Besides, he is eager in a perverted sense to test the limits of Tarella's enhance. As with all best laid plans, when the Scog arrives and the trap is set into motion, it goes awry and tragedy strikes. He thinks it ironic, that he stayed to help and yet still has to deal with guilt and maybe he shouldn't have offered to help kill the Scog. In any event, he decides that his next course of action is to venture to Falling Star Mountains and seek out the legend. Was it a meteor or was it a ship? He hopes for the latter, and maybe he will find information inside that will aid him with leaving the planet Arret and find a way home. Meanwhile, on the starship inside the massive arboretum, ABBI flees a tiger that the computer awakens. Inside a cave, she discovers flint rocks and fire is born. To her dismay, the small scraggly tree inside the cave has only so many limbs for fuel and she needs to find another way out before the tiger finds a way in. While she searches, she encounters a few furry creatures that she knows as rabbits. Though she has only been human for a short time and holds all life sacred, she knows her only way to survive is to kill and eat the rabbits. Afterwards, she finds a tunnel and escapes the cave and finds herself overlooking a vast landscape inside the arboretum. But the computer isn't finished with its attempts at ridding the ship of the human, and ABBI encounters more life forms, all of which are ravenous carnivores. Commander Dath prepares for a planet drop. The fleet is in desperate needs of supplies. He and his landing party will, one way or another acquire such needs on the planet Zoria. He cares not if they are given, or if they have to 'borrow' such goods. His thinking is distorted with all the pain meds he has been administering, and soon after negotiations begin, he insults the Zorians and a fight ensues and a few of the Kymions in the landing party are attacked and ripped apart. Before escaping, however, they acquire what they need and return to the fleet, unawares that the soil and water they 'borrowed' is tainted. The watcher Darok is frustrated and angry with the last earthling he sends down to the surface. Especially after it has the audacity to return to his ship and attack him. He sends the drone to Earth and brings back not one but three flat-faced animals, brothers of evil themselves. He programs them to seek out the earthling and destroy him. Once again, with the best laid plans, it also goes awry and an evil entity that escapes Stargazer's subconscious awaits them and takes over one of the life forms. It calls himself NeoZ, as if believes it is a new and special type of human. NeoZ battles its two brothers and then ventures out to kill Stargazer.
