Shah Abdus Sattar Uwaise Uwaisee (R.A.) born (1893) in a Sunni Muslim Family of Village: Sultanpur, District: Manikganj, Country: Bangladesh. His father's name is Munshi Aradhan Mian and Mother's name is Halimun-nesa.After acquiring preliminary education from the Madrasah's of the neighboring villages of Pipulia and Boyra he got admission in the Calcutta Alia Madrasah. He could not complete the education there. On the eve of final Examination due to excessive eagerness of his father he was compelled to marry a wealthy child-widow named Muhtarema Jubayda Khatun in 1917 and since then he spent his life at Angurpara, PS.Ghior, District Manikgong to protect the properties of his wife there.He came in contact with his Maternal uncle Shah Abdus Rahim (R.A.) at the far end of his life whose last advise to him was: "I could not find opportunity talk to you. Don't try to understand the holy Quran by changing the meanings of its words. Think over the sentences keeping the meaning intact. Whatever secret truths are there I wrote out in my publication. You will find man to understand everything of the Quran keeping its meanings intact.Accordingly he searched such a man and at last he took the oath of allegiance in the hand of his younger maternal uncle, Shah Abdul Qader Uwaisee (R.A.) in 1919. After serving under him about 14 years he got Khilafat in 1933.Shah Abdussatter, after the death of his first wife in 1935, has married second time in 1938 with Hazera Khatun, daughter of Mullah Muhammed Ali of Shibaloy.Hazrat Shah Abdussattar Uwaisee (R.A) by dint of his lofty Character attracted many modern highly educated persons towards his Tariqat. He left behind him 12 vicegerents (Khalifas).He is father of the renowned Uwaisee Peer, Hazrat Shah Abu Sayeed Mohammed Abdul Jalil Uwaisee (R.A.), the then Pincipal, Manikgonj Debendra College.Moulana Shah Abdus Satter Uwaisee (R.A.) translated into Bengoli the Persian book "Suhail-E-Yaman," He wrote his own biography also. He died on 20th November, 1964. His Mazar Sharif is situated in Angurpara, District Manikgonj.
