Sunkissed Summary When the man of her dreams fails to make a timely appearance, Kris Garza is forced to work a nine-to -five job in a Hollywood accounting firm as a payroll specialist. Life in the workplace becomes problematic, as Kris begins dating Ben Draper, a tax attorney for the firm, and the nephew of Stanley Morgan, owner of the company. When co-worker Justin Murdoch, a man she loathes, finds antagonistic, and suffers from OCD tendencies, begins dating her roommate, even in her private life there is no escaping him. Motivated by need for more income, Kris is challenged to advance her career when she discovers Murdoch's talent for making rain, will inevitably advance him to an executive level with the firm. Lofty aspirations combined with her competitive nature, Kris seeks the advice of Caroline Stein, who becomes her mentor and encourages Kris to apply for an Accounts Executive position opening in the company, pitting her against Murdoch for the spot. As car trouble threatens Kris's trip home for a family wedding, Murdoch steps in and saves the day by offering her a ride. Against Ben Drapers wishes, Kris accepts the ride, and after her father invites him into the family home, several margarita's later and a few shots of tequila, Kris wakes the next morning in bed with her roommate's boyfriend, and no recollection of the night's events. This tragic but hilarious tale of love, is what happens when opposites attract and bumble every attempt at trying to hook up. Along the way, Kris learns some valuable lessons about herself before discovering that when you least expect it, love inevitably finds you.
