In part truth, yet mainly fictionalized garble, this story was written in 1999 using real life characters during my many sojourns through the Silicon Valley while riding the 22 bus from my home in Sunnyvale to my job at Sylvandale Middle School in San Jose. This was at the height of the Millennium Bug scare.Can our hero Sunny Vaile overcome the obstacles, real and preceived, to reach his final goal of overall happiness? Or will internal and external forces destroy his equilibrium and perhaps his life?Needless to say, my heart still beats for the "Valley of the Hearts Delight" and this story is an ode to a great place, with many great people, full of many problems, but teeming - and I mean teeming - with hope.
