James Morris Webb was a Christian preacher from the United States who was active around 1910-1930, associated with the African Methodist Episcopal Church.The African Methodist Episcopal Church, also known as the "AME Church", is a Christian church founded in 1816. It originated from a group of African Americans from Philadelphia, who separated in 1787 from the Saint George Methodist Episcopal Church, because of racial discrimination and built the Bethel African Methodist Church. In 1799, Richard Allen became pastor of Bethel and in 1816 he was consecrated as bishop of the African Methodist Episcopal Church.
