Descendents of Angelo Procotchi receive black roses sent by the Black Rose herself, a descendent of the only Monfradini to secretly escape the massacre. This beautiful woman, who calls herself the Black Rose, quickly becomes a major force on the East Coast, employing the same strategy as her great grandfather. John Romano fights to keep the Family members from the certain death the Black Rose has promised. This seems to be an insurmountable task as the Black Rose proves to be a very difficult adversary because of her cunning and her breathtaking beauty. She uses all of her skills to bring the very lonely John Romano under her spell.
