Description

Two physicians from very different backgrounds establish an organization dedicated to coma research and reversal. Their lives take decidedly separate paths when Josh becomes a coma patient himself following a motor vehicle accident that kills his entire family. As time goes by and progress slows, he deviates further and further from established ethical norms. In pursuit of much more than his friend's deliverance, he envisions glory and veneration for his groundbreaking work. Unfortunately, the advancements he makes come at tremendous cost to himself and to others. Both men's experiences are entwined by the presence of a young woman named Gabrielle. Through a series of hapless events, she finds herself passing from the real world with Eli to the alternate realm with Josh and back again. Her capable demeanor guides each through their respective journeys placing them on a collision course with destiny and with one another.
