Devil in the Details is a contemporary action-thriller set in the fictional Southeast Asian city-state of Gapalin. Pau Long lives a controlled life as an Engineering undergraduate, whose bright future -too readily assured for a 22-year-old- changes when disaffected high school students invade the Education Ministry and seize the nation's collective academic transcripts hostage. Eager to please his father, the republic's tyrannical kingmaker, Pau entreats Julia Banning -fugitive, former teacher, and the only person to escape the Ministry- to guide in a team. Unfortunately, their mission to secure the transcripts spirals almost immediately out of control. Hurdling through crippling self-doubt, will Pau and Julia regain their principles in time to deliver the students to safety and rid Gapalin of a most dangerous power player?
