In 1967, a British freelance war correspondent, Dan Witszel brought a special diary, willed to him by an uncle to Nigeria to cover the Biafra War. Unbeknownst to him, the plain looking diary had within it, codes of one of the most sophisticated oil rigs ever designed. Few months after getting to Nigeria, Witszel was abducted by Biafran soldiers in the command of Major Emmanuel Ifeajuna. It wasn't long before Major Ifeajuna was executed for treason and Dan Witszel was also reported dead in the war. Forty years later, a renowned Nigerian writer ignited the interests of an international oil executive Mike Levin, after he described the exact diary in his new book, to be the material on which Major Ifeajuna wrote his war memoirs. Believing the renowned author knew more about the whereabouts of the diary than he was letting on, Levin enlisted the help of Clarke Brennan, a spy in the British Secret Service, to covertly search for the missing manuscript in Nigeria. The trail however, led them to an old woman... a seventy-year-old Biafran war survivor who had more stories than the coveted diary could ever tell.
