Description

It seems that everybody has asked the same question about Islamic terrorism, especially since 9/11: "How can terrorists blow themselves up?" It seems as if some Siren Song is motivating these people to crash themselves, and others, onto the rocks. During the 2016 election, those people asking that question included then potential presidential candidate, Donald Trump--although he put it a lot more colorfully, when proposing halting Muslim immigration to the U.S., "Until we can find out what the HELL is going on . . ."This book answers that question, the one everybody's been asking, answers what the hell is going on. Islamic terrorists are under the influence of hypnosis, induced by the chanting that Muslims are required to perform multiple times daily. Repetitive sound, that is, chanting, creates an altered state of consciousness. A further premise of The Mega Cult of Islam, as the title implies, is that Islam is a cult, not a religion. Cults require the use of some form of repetition, usually repetitive sound, that changes brain wave patterns and brain wave states, and these altered brain wave states are the same as those associated with susceptibility to hypnotic suggestion. What's the difference then between a cult and a mega cult? It's like the difference between a tsunami and a mega tsunami, hence the title of this book. As its name implies, the mega cult is much larger than the cult, exerting influence over whole populations, reaching numbers sometimes in the millions, or billions, as is the case with Islam. Other main differences between a cults and a mega cults is that the mega cults incorporate political and military resources into their claims of religious legitimacy. If you could travel to different places, to different and diverse societies and races of people, in different time periods, you could find the same state of brainwashing and hypnosis used in cults, both small and "mega" cults. In the pages of The Mega Cult of Islam, we'll do that, we'll go all over the world, to different periods of time, to different societies, and different races of people. While all of the societies we'll look at will be diverse, they all have one thing in common--the induction of trance states and hypnosis in followers to create cults. The cult experience is a universal one. It can happen to anybody. From the revelers at Stonehenge, to the Mayans in the pre-Columbian Americas, to the hippies in California of the '60s--in The Mega Cult of Islam we will get into our time machine and visit them all, as well as present-day Islam.
