In this third book, Delilah Kennedy has been sent to Oak Haven Residential Treatment Center for the murder of Preston Chandler, her second husband, Corrine's stepfather, and Ivy Grace's father. Delilah has been framed by her own daughter, Corrine, and is distraught at the thought of spending the rest of her life in a mental facility. She vows to get out of Oak Haven, and reclaim her life and her family. Corrine, now going by the name Natalie, on the other hand, has moved from Nashville, Tennessee to Cleveland, Tennessee, in an effort to rebuild her life, and provide for her daughter, Ivy Grace, now known as Lizzie, with a better life. Eventually Corrine meets and falls in love with Joe Westfield, a loving and considerate country boy. Joe provides her with the life she's always wanted. Tragically, their life together is cut short, and Corrine is faced with raising Ivy Grace alone. As Delilah tries to reconnect with her long lost son, Randy, now known as Jacob, things spiral out-of-control until the Kennedy family legacy is forever altered. Life for the Kennedy clan will never be the same as darkness consumes their souls, leaving death and destruction lay in their wake. Are people born "evil," or do they turn "evil" as result of their experiences? Do fallen apples stem from bad seeds, which stem from roots of "evil?" Is there any hope for the members of the Kennedy family, or are they all destined for darkness? Furthermore, can people ever really rid themselves from "evil forces," or does it attach itself to vulnerable people intent on destroying their lives?
