"The mysterious last words of Vikram were finally published by a San Francisco newspaper. Strangely enough, the editor that pushed for it, went missing and never turned up for twelve days. His body was eventually found floating in the Feather River near Marysville; he had burn marks all over his lower legs, and a severe bite mark on his right hand." It is November 7, 1970... and the Media Elite are gathering for a literary convention on the northern shores of beautiful Lake Tahoe. This 'Confab' takes place every five years, and is being hosted at the Snow Canyon Resort; the site of the 1964 Winter Olympics. The young protagonist (Harrison Stuart Gabon), has recently been hired as the Marketing Vice President for Brollier Literary (the largest book publisher in the world). All is seemingly well; until a mysterious manuscript shows up, allegedly from the hand of Mark Twain and Bret Harte (which is presumably going up for auction). Furthermore, the owner of the Snow Canyon Resort and richest man in the United States (Alexander Cushings-Mellehn), is floating the largest blockbuster sale in history; but there appears to be a controversial condition attached to the proposal. Of course; Harrison Gabon finds all of the initial workload to be a complete nightmare... but that's before he runs into his Bohemian best friend from high school (William Erwitt), which instigates even further challenges; and even hinders his plans to win the heart of a fair maiden-friend, Ione Chernin (a stunning model, who is also attending the conference). This perfect storm... all, as a record-setting snowstorm is finally arriving, gradually envelopes Stuart's world from all sides; and the book's conclusion will assuredly leave the reading audience, breathless and stunned... What Readers are saying:"He has a skilled writing ability that stimulate the reader's imagination." Lisa Brown-Gilbert (Hollywood Book Review)"This is not your father's YA book... kept me engaged, and I missed the days when I found no time to read."Gabor Hajba"The ending really got me shook."Xochitl"Powerful..."Tami N."...kept me intrigued."
