Ben Harris, a former navy seal, recently resigned from his position of Assistant Chief of the Houston Police department to move to Green Bay with his lawyer fiancée, Leah Hamilton. While taking a few days off to relax at Lookout Mountain, he accidentally witnesses the murder of a Russian Mafia's daughter by hired Mexican drug cartel assassins. They see him and try to kill him as a tornado hits the mountain. As a matter of historical fact on August 18, 2005 a record 27 tornados hit Wisconsin with the first one hitting Lookout Mountain. Ben escapes into a cave as the Tornado hits and the entrance of the cave is destroyed. He finds that he is trapped with an injured timber wolf, a large rattlesnake and a pack of rats. One of the killers is also trapped in the cave with him, but is seriously injured. Ben has little food and water. It takes all his survival skills to stay alive in the cave only to find when he is finally rescued that the other killer has kidnapped his fiancée to use her as bait to find him and kill him.In the meanwhile the mafia kingpin dispatches his henchmen to find the killer of his daughter and Ben becomes entangled. After the miraculous rescue from the cave, Ben Harris spends time in Chicago and Houston trying to rescue Leah Hamilton from the captors, first the cartel killers then the Russian Mafia. The behind the scene's crime boss who is called "The Benefactor" is really a Chicago assistant police chief scheming to take over control of the cartels and the Russian mafia and uses Ben as a pawn in his scheme. After many thrilling sequences of events, Ben rescues his fiancée only to find out that she was raped by the Russian Mafia boss.
