The word "Quran" occurs some 70 times in the text of the Quran, although different names and words are also said to be references to the Quran. This particular edition was translated by two Madina based scholars Dr. Muhsin Khan and Dr. Taqi-ud-Din Hilali. It features frequent footnotes gleaned by the translators from Tafsir At-Tabari, Al-Qurtubi and Tafsir Ibn Kathir, and Sahih-al-Bukhari.
