Description

Tybee V: Island Terror The ill-fated flight of a certain B-47 bomber is a well-known and documented historical incident, despite efforts to downplay its potential threat. The bomber collided with an F-86 jet fighter east of Tybee Island, Georgia, and was forced to jettison the nuclear bomb it was carrying into the ocean at an uncharted location. This occurred in 1958, and the bomb was never located. Department of Defense officials insisted the bomb posed no danger to humans or the environment. In 2005, strangely mutated and aggressive sea life attack and kill a young Tybee Island couple, producing panic on the Island. In a defensive move, the Island government quarantined the beaches and banned fishing, riling many local business owners and residents, resulting into a major political conflict. It was eventually determined that seepage from the bomb was the cause of the fish mutations in the area; however, the government was unaware that al-Qaeda terrorists had located the bomb and were extracting its contents to use in the manufacture of ?dirty bombs? at nearby Fort Screven. Ted and Patricia Montgomery, the Tybee Series? principal characters, involve themselves in the mystery, and become at the top of Osama-Ben-Laden's hit list. Once again, Ted and Patricia find themselves in perilous, exciting, suspenseful, and frequently romantic situations in their courageous efforts to protect, not only Tybee Island, but our Nation, from this menacing terrorist evil.
