Vegas Diary, A Dish Served Cold, is the story of Jack Summers, an assistant US district attorney and former Navy Seal, whose investigation of the Mob triggers the brutal murder of his young wife in Chicago. Unable to prove the Mob's connection to the murder, he relocates to private practice in Las Vegas, America's second chance city, hoping to start over. Leon Black, a former employee of a wealthy Florida developer, also moves to Vegas. He uses his old employer's identity to steal millions from a Mob backed lender, and heads for the Caribbean. Sam Marchesi, the mob under boss in Vegas, initiates the systematic elimination of everyone involved, innocently or otherwise, in Black's scam. He plans to take over the company that handled the Black transaction, a client of Summers. Sarah Dunn, a single mother, is an employee of that client. She joins Summers in a race to recover the stolen funds ahead of Marchesi. With help from a former FBI agent, their chase leads them to the island of Nevis and back to Vegas. When Summers beats him to Black, Marchesi orders the kidnapping of Sarah and her young son, and offers to exchange them for the cash. To save Sarah, Summers must deal with Marchesi's sadistic enforcer, Bruno. In a twist of fate, Summers comes face to face with his wife's killer and exacts his unexpected revenge.
