Like a snake they slither into peoples lives, and they are ready to inflict venom on any person that once crossed their paths before. Hate and revenge dominates what happens. Here is a small sample of the book below.Prologue6:27a.m.The streets were deserted, it seemed like they were the only people except for a few, whom their movements were not well understood, the neighbourhood watch and a few ununiformed police officers. An array of streetlights paved way to where they were heading to.He opened the curtain and peeped though the window of the car. Mankind had invested a lot of effort to get to where they are today. It had been a sequence of failed attempts and later on success. The world was much better now. Mankind had invented most of the things that he was looking at. "Life was what you made it".The streets were dark, quiet and cold. In this part of town people rarely walked, they were always rushing towards something. Monday was a boring day, there would be low morale at the workplace, but later on it would become busy, boosted by the search for money.He never wanted to get into town whilst everyone was racing to work. Johnny hated congestion to the bone. He was a prominent man and congestion made him feel as if he had lost his dignity. They were now approaching a traffic signal. The signal turned amber and later red. The car shrieked and abruptly stopped to a halt. "Hey you want to kill me, Jeremy!" he exclaimed. "Sorry Sir, the signal turned instantly, and I panicked", he said in a husky, shaky voice."Please do make adjustments, that's no way to drive me", Johnny replied in a low steady tone."I promise that this will be the first and last time I repeat this, I will make improvements with immediate haste". "I will be looking forward to that", Johnny murmured. "You are shaking, are you ok"?The words came like a shock to Jeremy, he tried to take it with ease. "No Sir, I am fine Sir"."Life is a precious something you know, it's that kind you can never get again if you lose it, it only comes once, take care of your health and keep a watchful eye to how your body responds", Johnny sighed.Jeremy knew that these were one of those rhetoric lectures that were conducted time after time. Johnny would keep on talking until the point he wanted to highlight on was made clear. It was really cold, he pressed a few buttons and the air conditioner was on. "Sorry Sir I hoped to inform you that I will be taking the car for service". "Isn't the day supposed to be next week"? "It is Sir but I wanted to take it early and change the tires". The way Jeremy was organized pleased him. Failing the brakes didn't mean that he was bad at everything. He was the best at his job.
