So when Stuart Anderson and his bodyguard Sammy Conway are murdered in a professional hit the danger of a Turf war is now very real and is of great concern to London Metropolitan police and especially to newly promoted DCI Robert Thompson.The shocking news is then revealed by the Anti Terrorists Squad that a handler and an illegal immigrant left Anderson's group taking with them heroin worth 2 million pounds street value. Which was bad enough but to make matters worse they are known to be Kosovo Islamic extremists and according to MI5 on a bombing mission.The killers of Stuart Anderson and his bodyguard are eventually located in an Islamic extremist safe house along with the two terrorist bombers. It looks like it could develop into a stand off and a classic SAS operation will be needed to eliminate them.DCI Thompson however, an old school copper, doesn't agree with the use of firearms and devises an ingenious way to avoid a siege. In a bloodless operation and without a shot being fired Thompson deceives and convinces the two terrorist bombers and the killer of Stuart Anderson and his bodyguard to walk out of the safe house and into the welcoming arms of several burly policemen.Chief Superintendent Fletcher benevolently insists that Thompson should take a well earned break, Fletcher's true motive however is to keep him away from a more than curious media that's anxious to question him about his unorthodox technique when arresting the two terrorist bombers and the villain who murdered Stuart Anderson and his bodyguard. Molly, Thompson's wife and manager of their Garden Centre is also keen for a holiday and much to Thompson's initial surprise and shock books a 3 weeks holiday in beautiful New Zealand.
