As a – First time Author— I have attempted to present a series of short stories that illustrate our emotional peculiarities, inner strengths, and weaknesses, foibles, as well as irrational fears. From “A Single Night's tale of impossible, romantic, relationships to the title story's alarming illumination of societal imperfections, the reader is offered an emotional expose' that is, at times, uplifting, and at others, a painful reminder of our inadequacies. I have employed metaphor, as well as, ironic satire, in hopes of treating you (the reader) to a collection of works that are both enjoyable and thought provoking, sometimes humorous, sometimes controversial. The mysteries of metaphysical faith in “Always” juxtaposed with the religious dogma of “Three Headed Dragon” allow the reader a chance to reflect on competing theology. While the main goal in any writing endeavor is to entertain; I have tried to entertain through reflection—I hope I have succeeded. Gene Watson
