Description

Student-Athletes are taught to win, and their coaches are given the task to challenge these athletes time and time again. But, there is one thing I must share with you right now. Winning takes more than Athletic Ability. The reasons you win or lose as an athlete and later as a citizen are more profound than you think. I am Leslie Morton, and my story takes place in Baltimore Maryland. Have you ever talked yourself into doing something by mistake? I did. It happened on a crisp fall day. I was a High School Sophomore who went to a High School sporting event to have something to do one day after school. What happened next, carried life-changing consequences. What I perceived to be a simple dare, turned into two years of effort on my part to prove my doubters wrong. Two years of my life helped me develop certain beliefs that I now call The Process of Purpose. This extraordinary process gave me the answers to many questions such as: Why do some Student-Athletes fail while others succeed? What causes some Professional-Athletes to file for bankruptcy protection after sports while others enjoy mega success? How can once proud Student-Athletes develop success as ordinary citizens after their playing days are over?Come, journey with me into my past. Take a glimpse as I share my story as a Student-Athlete. Discover the challenges I faced, the lessons I learned, and the facts I have uncovered.
