What's my Label? My name is William Henry Meyer. Is that enough to distinguish me from others and explain who I am? I am William (my maternal grandfather's name), and I am Henry (my paternal grandfather's name), and I am Meyer (my surname). I have been called and answered to Billy, Bill, William Hank and recently willyhank (my adopted email name). Is that enough? I have a shop. In my shop, I have shelves with clear jars of nails, screws, washers, etc. It's easy to find what I want. The jars don't need a label since I can see what's in them. "What is your personal Label?" "How would you label your jar--you can't see what you can't see." I thought about my Jar, and I found only one answer. That answer was "Miscellaneous." I just had to label my Jar "Miscellaneous." I figured I was... a kid, a guy, a man, a son, a father, a brother, an uncle, a grandfather, a great-grandfather, a single man, a married man, a divorced man, a widowed man, an HS Grad, a College Grad, an Architect, a Writer, a Chicagoan, a Rock Islander, a St. Louian, and a retired Michigander a US Citizen, an Agnostic, an Independent, an Eagle Scout, a "White'" man, an Octogenarian, a Cancer Survivor, a Mindful Thinker. I excluded some things that I was and, now, am not. (I ran out of jars.) But it points out how we are all so different and complex. It would therefore seem foolhardy to give ourselves, only one label. So, my best regards to you, Miscellaneous
