This is a Book, which started as a Journal, and was Written as a way to vent the authors' frustrations about uninformed and ignorant people! The book was not written to inform people of new ideas to rid themselves of their pets. It covers a variety of reasons that people, have and do, purge themselves of their pets. Some reasons are very sad and others are just funny. She gained her experiences inside this book through her places of employment and the pet owners who she has met and knew. It is those pet owners who she writes about. The names of people discussed in this book are not their real names so don't be offended if it sounds like you. It might be something you have done, but your name is not listed. As she stated "some of the readers may be offended by my comments, but it was not my intention to offend anyone." This was part of her life for over sixteen years and she felt she needed to share the experiences in an informative and somewhat amusing fashion. She did have a few people read this book, prior to publishing, she listen to their opinions. She said "the majority of the people who read the book liked it, some didn't." At least two people said "you can't please everyone" she agreed and decided to publish. Lisa has stated that she appreciates anyone who purchases her material and reads it. Most of all, she wants you, the people who read this book, to enjoy it. Lisa Mobley's tongue in cheek writing style makes a humorous read on a "not so funny topic." It should be required reading for anyone working at an animal shelter, adopting a shelter dog or anyone thinking about getting a new dog, for that matter.
