Caradan Eagle Newspaper Reporter, Carrie James, welcomes life as an adventure and a new opportunity to learn. For her, every day is just "another day in paradise." Kristian, a firefighter on leave, experiences tragedy when his twin sister disappears without a trace. Kristian finds himself believing in "love at first sight," as well as the ability to "channel." He tries to push all thoughts of the Reporter from his mind, because he has made a vow to find his twin. Carrie discovers the bodies of two young women who recently disappeared from the surrounding communities. She and Kristian are thrown together as they try to solve their murders and his sister's mysterious disappearance. Soon, they find themselves in danger of losing their hearts, as well as their lives as they become closer to The Monster that has been living amongst them...in Caradan...right in plain sight.
